Ideas are the lifeblood of an organization and provide your only sustainable competitive advantage. Need more great new ideas that work? Want your organization to be more innovative? We can help.
Wow! is for people who want to learn how to tap into more of their creativity and use it on the job solving problems and creating opportunities with new, useful and unexpected ideas that work. Wow! is for organizations that want to become more consistently innovative.
Most people used to believe that some individuals were just "naturally" creative. They could invent breakthrough ideas and innovative solutions with ease. Others seemed to muddle through with clenched teeth and furrowed brow trying to fix what's wrong.
It doesn't have to be that way. Creativity can be learned-just like riding a bicycle. And once you know how, you never forget. That's because every one of us has creative power hidden inside. And there are proven principles and practices to unlock that power. Once released, you can turn it loose inventing and applying creative solutions to your challenges and creating what you want instead of fixing what you don't. Then you can achieve superior results for yourself and your organization and in the process gain more personal satisfaction.
With Wow! you can bring a creativity program to your organization that's practical, creative, inexpensive and can be delivered in as little as 90 minutes.
The Concept…
Over the years we've discovered that fundamental principles guide creative behavior. We've collected memorable stories and examples of how these principles have been applied by people and organizations to create fresh ideas and implement successful innovations.
During the seminar we present these stories to make the principles "come alive."
People remember stories; they forget facts. They also learn more when they're engaged. That's why we use music, video, and an assortment of intriguing images to tell the story of creativity and innovation.
Our principle-based approach distinguishes this seminar. Once understood the principles can be used over and over again to solve problems that have no "known" solutions.
Wow! is appropriate for anyone in your organization since we need creativity from everyone. The days of handing solutions down from on high are long gone. Today it's everyone's responsibility to solve problems and recognize and respond to opportunities. Otherwise you're too slow…your competition will run you over.
How much is an idea worth? A story…
It's not just the big ideas that lead to breakthrough innovations that count. The "small" everyday problems we solve creatively can bring substantial returns too.
After one seminar a manager went to the people who assembled promotional information for mass mailings and asked if they had any creative ideas that might speed up the process. One suggested covering the long workbench with plastic, which would let them slide the promotional materials instead of picking the packets up and putting them down as they moved along. That idea cut "stuffing" time in half and saved the company thousands of dollars each quarter because those workers could get back to their other job…packing and shipping the products.
Another manager decided to break boundaries and set a quality improvement goal of 50% when the usual standard was 2 to 3%. That story is too long to share here, but we'll tell you about it during the seminar.
We'll also tell you about:
The Small Cage Habit
The Universal Truth
The CFI Index
Slinky Thinking
First Pass Yield
The Paper Oven
High & On The Outside Corner

Keeping the Workshop Working:
One of the challenges of any workshop or seminar is its "sticking" power. Will people leave the program and do something different that produces results? That depends partly upon how much support and reinforcement they get. One of our solutions to reinforcing the principles presented in the seminar is the book, Wow! How Did They Think of That?
