The Aladdin Mind Fitness Project … a joint venture between Ivanhoe Broadcast News and Applied Creativity, Inc.

Many people begin to worry about the first signs of mental decline as they get older.  Does this sound like you?  Here’s a short check list to help you assist your present mind fitness state.

  1. Sometimes I can't recall a familiar person's name.
  2. Sometimes I have to struggle to find the right word to express myself.
  3. On occasion I find it difficult to concentrate on the task at hand.
  4. I've lost some of my confidence.
  5. I'm not as curious about things as I once was.
  6. I find that I quickly reject novel, unusual ideas.
  7. I feel as though I've lost some of my mental flexibility.
  8. I am more judgmental than I once was.
  9. I'm not as optimistic as I once was.
  10. I'm unclear about my life's purpose and personal goals.

If there were more “yes” responses that you would like, then the Aladdin Mind Fitness Project can help.  It’s designed to help you prevent, stop, or reverse cognitive decline as you age.

Did you know that brain fitness and elasticity begins to decline at around age 30 for men and a little later for women? That is unless you do something about it.

Learning something new day-by-day is the best way to prevent this decline. That’s why we are again offering the five-week on-line Aladdin Mind Fitness Project

You can take personal responsibility for protecting your mind health by engaging in daily mental challenges that will help you keep your brain flexible and healthy.

Here’s how the Aladdin Mind Fitness Project works.  Each weekday for five weeks you’ll receive a mind enhancing brain exercise that will take approximately 12-15 minutes to complete. These exercises will help you think in original, flexible and imaginative ways and then to incorporate that thinking into your daily work/family life.

You can communicate with Ted Coulson, Ph.D. and Alison Strickland, the hosts and creators of the program on our secure bulletin board where you can post your work, ask questions and dialogue with other participants. You can also join in an hour-long teleseminar on mind fitness and brain health.

Throughout the Aladdin Mind Fitness Project you’ll evaluate and assess your growth with self-scoring activities. You’ll identify your personal signature strengths that make up the core of who you are and then learn to incorporate those strengths into your daily work and family life.

The fee for the five-week Aladdin mind fitness program including the teleseminar is only $49.95.

We accept all major credit cards.  If you have questions concerning the program or wish to register by phone call Ted or Alison at 727-391-5080.

Here’s what past participants in the Aladdin Mind Fitness Project have to say.

“I liked the multi-pronged approach, not all cerebral, some physical, like the hand/eye coordination exercise … and the lesson on olfactory sensations.”

“Each and every one of the projects added substance and layers to my abilities to think, to really think.”

“The appreciative inquiry was a useful exercise and I will probably continue to do that periodically.”

Here are some adjectives people used to describe the experience.  Fun, Stimulating, Interesting, Enlightening, Challenging, Thought Provoking, Intriguing, and EXHILARATING.
